Sparkling Lime & Lemonade

5 fresh lemons
5 fresh limes
1/2 c. pure cane sugar (or could use artificial sweetener)
1 bottle Italian sparkling water
8 sprigs fresh mint
8 chunks frozen pineapple
8 maraschino cherries
1 quart ice cubes

1.  Squeeze 4 of the lemons and 4 of the limes and place in a 2-quart pitcher.  Slice the remaining lemon and lime and set aside.
2.  Add sugar (or sweetener) and sparkling water.  Stir to dissolve the sugar.  Add ice and allow to chill for about 5 minutes.
3.  Layer ice cubes, pineapple chunks, lemon and lime slices, cherry, and mint leaves in glasses.  Enjoy!
